Ecotech Environmental Technology Ltd. (Ecotech) signed an agreement with OPEL Solar Inc. and established “Opel Solar Asia Co., Ltd.” (OSAC) in Hong Kong in December 2010. Ecotech and OPEL Solar Inc. hold 81% and 19% shares respectively. OSAC designs, develops and markets high concentrating photovoltaic (HCPV) system required products. OPEL Solar Inc. (TSX-V:OPL), a leading global supplier of high concentrating photovoltaic (HCPV) solar panels and other solar products including ground-based and rooftop tracker systems. The management team has over 30 year of experiences in managing high technology companies. OPEL Solar Inc. has possessed a number of concentrating photovoltaic design patents and the core technology of CPV. In future, OSAC will be the sole manufacturer and retailer of OPEL Solar Inc. to develop solar market in Asia. Mr. Michael Lam, president of Ecotech Environmental Technology Ltd., said high concentrating photovoltaic (HCPV) system has been recognized as the most environmentally friendly and cost- effectiveness of the third-generation solar photovoltaic system and has become a new bright spot in solar market. Many countries have deployed this advanced solar technology to produce cost effectiveness of solar generated electricity. High Concentration Photovoltaic System is the trend for the future PV development in the World. Mr. Lam further explained.
